A take on the the life we live and how it can be changed.

He stood and surveyed the panorama
Before him lay a world of scintillating reds and whites
A vision of life laid out before him
Around this precipice darkness encroached

The snow slipped beneath his feet as he sat
A dark log was his perch, contrasting; the stark white snow lay peacefully
The Chill wind blew across his face, the cold amplifying life
Colors flared and darkened in time across the scene

Observing the swirling movement of the picture’s arteries
He watched people mill through their nightly activities by instinct, vitality gone
No though in the motions, a world devoid of caring
The lights blurred and flashed along dark strips

A crystalline ray of light burned his vision
Below a door opened throwing a reflection of white fire off glass
The sky flashed with red malice a warning deterring flight
Accustomed to this the skids and urchins continued

Reaching into the soft feathery powder burying his feet
He scooped out two hand fulls, pushing them together they began to melt slowly
Water spreading between fingers that gently smoother it into a ball
The ice cover mirrored the lighted chaos he viewed
Silently standing he cocked his arm

Softly lobbing the sphere he watched it fall to earth
It fell slowly, drifting through space a capsule
Painted thoughts played across its surface

Shattering as it struck the hard pavement
A thousand dream shards exploding on impact, spreading through the world
On a precipice above a man watched, finally smiling
He turned and faded into inky darkness
