in love one does not seek to lose or gain
yet many say, “good riddance, not again”

For, in this game the player is pre-blessed
albeit his efforts seem to go in vain

tomorrow will exact its toll from you
tomorrow will turn pleasure into pain

it started as a note, a touch of chords
and grew into this constant blue refrain

with luck, you might be rid of prudish wit
and then again, with luck, may go insane

like ying and yang, like east and west on globe
we swirled so close, yet distant to remain

like night and day, like life and death, we kissed
and went our ways, shall ever meet the twain?

Welcome to scorching sun in all its splendour
that gives a meaning to the drop of rain
