History repeats.
I dreamt that I saw Hitler
he goose-stepped down the lane
the dust of twenty million
floating in his wake.

I sat atop a billboard
with message for the dead
said smiling Billy Graham
"Eden’s just ahead."

“Zeig Heil!” I cried to Hitler
but he remained a mute
he met me with a glower
thrusting a salute.

"Most infamous of rulers
as mankind’s greatest shame
a molten pot awaits you
back the other way!"

"In this you are mistaken,"
he spat right back at me
he shrugged; "It’s all forgiven,
in eternity.

A single word explains it
and science does decree
I learned this from a Jew boy:
‘Relativity.’

I’m looking for the right men
and think that you might do
your skin is nearly ashen
plus your eyes are blue.

Get off that silly billboard
assume your rightful place
those Mongol hordes of Eden
need a Master race!”

“I’d really love to join you
be one of your elite
I’ll be along directly
please don’t wait for me.”

He waved his hand disgusted
then on his way he went
he sang a song of Deutschland
strutting round the bend.

I climbed down from my billboard
and left the way he came
I sighed in resignation
"Here we go again."
