Retributive Pity

RETRIBUTIVE PITY

I am a child lonely and lost
Wishing to escape this lie I tell
But sadly my world has entombed me
And now truth I cannot sell

The mother and father left me
The brother and sister have died
All the world is ignoring me
Simply because I have lied

No one can say I have lived
All my life has been afterlife
Dead before I was born
Destined to never overcome this strife

Gone are the days of simplicity
When emotions could live free
Now if I wish to exist like them
I must work to pay the fee

One misconception and my world is lost
I may never find my way to home
Deserted and I am left far behind
Even ignored is my written poem

Silence was golden for so long
Now it lay tarnished and rusted
And when I speak I am condemned
I fear I shall never this day be trusted
