I think of you when I’m having a bad day
It reminds me of what’s really important in life, and that I’m glad I have someone I can lean on

I think of you when I have fears or sorrows
It reminds me that I can seek comfort in your arms, and know that I am safe

I think of you when I come home at night
It reminds me of how good it would be to have someone there to talk to, and to tell how my day was

I think of you when I’m alone
It reminds me of how much I’m missing when I’m not with you, and how much I want to be with you

I think of you when I look at a certain painting
It reminds me that you once loved me enough to create it for me, and that I was the inspiration behind it

I think of you when I’m with friends
It reminds me of how you’ve become my best friend, and that I want to laugh and have fun with you

I think of you when I’m with family
It reminds me of how much I want you to be a part of it, and how much they’d love to have you be

I think of all of the ways I could take care of you
It reminds me of all of the ways you’ve taken care of me, and how loved that makes me feel

And then I think of losing you
And it reminds me of how empty my life would become, and how sad it would be to lose all that we have

I think of coming so close to having the one person I’ve been looking for
And feeling you slowly slip away from me, and it makes my heart ache like nothing I’ve ever felt
