A poem for that special someone whom you thought would never come along.
I balanced on a precipice
And tottered to and fro
Threatening to fall into
The deepest hole of all.

But just before I slipped and fell
You offered me your heart
To which to cling in times of need
When everything grows dark.

I gratefully looked up and sought
To thank my new found friend
Thinking you would walk away
And never come again.

But you opened up your heart and soul
And let this stranger in.
By setting that example
You taught me how to win.

You taught me how to live my life
By helping those in need.
Forever grateful I shall be
To you my teacher, friends indeed.
