The 13th Stair

This is based on a true story... Oh well, pleaase continue...

With a young boy of five
Whose family mattered more to him
Than anyone alive
With them he would play
And together attend mass
And yet he never knew
What love truly was
But after nine years,
A girl entered the scene
And he began to realize
What emotions really mean
She gave him inspiration,
And the courage to try
She would make his spirit soar
Just high enough to fly
For long, this growing desire,
All his closest friends knew
They told him to go and admit
That all his feelings were true
So the boy had waited
On the 13th Stair
And he confessed the fact that
They would make a lovely pair
But this girl who was so full
Of easy life and light friendship
Was not ready to take
Such a serious relationship
So she left him on the 13th Stair
But she would never tell
The fact that deep inside her heart
She liked him as much & as well
This poor heart-broken boy
Never expected a lady so fair
To leave him on the 13th Stair
Alone with sadness and despair
He couldn’t move on any longer
With such a broken heart
And couldn’t accept that it was her
Who tore his life apart
He tried to force himself to feel
That his love was never real
Even time tried & could not seal
The pain that only she could heal
And as she walked down,
She realized her deep regret
What if fate really was
The reason they had met?
But it was too late
For long he had gone
He had never known that
He truly was her “one”
She waited and waited
Yet he never came back
And she finally figured out
That it was courage she lacked
So she stepped down & from
The 13th Stair
So perhaps one day,
She would find her perfect pair
And the boy moved on & above
The 13th Stair
So maybe in his dreams,
He would find his destined pair
