Writing Olympic Decathlon Contest Entry:

Grilling Senryu – and it is not fish

Drips fall from the face
Summer days baste meat with sweat
Outdoor grilling lore

Hot vacation days
Bare flesh burns in summer sun
White ash coals spark flames

Sweat beads, drip, drop, plop
Off my nose into skillet
Fall sea salt flavor
