Long into the days,
As the shadows cast
As a saber of light,
Sideways.

Spirals upon the walls,
Counting time's journey,
Measuring in heartbeats,
The golden Falls.

Pieces of leaves flying,
To drift in silent acceptance,
The sleep of a season,
Rebirthing instead of dying.

From solstice to solstice,
Each progression of a year,
Viewed moment to moment,
With self-applied solace.

Time, no longer an enemy,
But an ally instead.
The healing is progressing,
To a stronger me.

Long did I love you,
Long did I mourn you,
Long did I remember you,
Long did I dream of you.

To the waters flowing,
In sunlight glistening,
I taste the freedom
