Inflicted Pain

Why do people have to inflict pain?
Is it for their reckless gain?

Why did he have to do this to me?
He stabbed me in the heart and left me to bleed.

Inflicted pain.
Fire and rain.

Please let me disappear so I won't see you again.

Why did I think he was my one and only for sure?

Well, now I'm wrong--once again.
Because of you, you inflicted my pain.

Now I'm gasping for my every breath, trying to pray to God to let my tears go away.
