Like an Angel

Like an angel she keeps me under her wings,
with prayer, love, and affection.
When I'm lost in life and don't know what to do
she encourages me in the right direction.
Her wisdom is great.
Her compassion is strong.
Her spirit is sweet.
Her patience is long.
She listens intently when her name is spoken.
She knows what to say when my heart is broken.
So unselfishly she gives of herself with love,
she knows her reward will come from above.
In the presence of God she'll be every day,
praying my troubles and tears away.
She smiles when I'm happy, cries when I'm sad.
She's the very best friend I've ever had.
God chose an angel before any other,
to come down to earth and be my mother.
