I KNEW WHO HE WAS

I was drowning deep in a troubled sea,
my head held under water,
I thought it was the end for me.
Through the darkness, a light shone,
As I walked to the Light, it was so bright.
At the end of the Light I knew him.
What the enemy meant for evil,
God had a plan for me.

He picked me up and I was loved,
The everlasting, the Prince of Peace.
He looked at me and knew all my fears.
He saw the shedding of every tear,
my heart hurt, by all the lies and deceit.
I knew He was Jesus!

One look was all it took,
His eyes gave peace to me.
In Jesus’ arms I felt loved,
He healed my broken heart,
and gave peace to my troubled mind.
He put me down, and said I couldn’t stay,
My love I give to you,
It will see you thru today
