about a little girls night mares as her own father and grandfather hurt her |
She has a lot of pain, She keeps it bottled up inside- She wants no one to know, How her daddy makes her cry. She dreads when school gets out, And it's time to go back home- She knows that once he gets off work, He'll try to be alone. She wishes it would stop, That he would leave her be- The tears stream down her face, When he gets between her knees. And when her daddy's done, She knows that they're not through- It's then her grandad's turn, She hates what he makes her do. When the hurting's over, When they're finished for the night- She sobbingly climbs between her sheets, And wishes things were right. She needs someone to lean on, Someone to help her win- A friend to mend her broken wings, And help her fly again. She wishes she could tell someone, Who'll listen and wipe her tears- Who'll help her ger through life, Who'll understand her fears. She thinks it's all a nightmare, Each morning she awakes- For her daddy treats her right, Breakfast for her he makes. But then night comes again, And all her nightmares soon are true- They say, "Don't worry honey, This is good for you." She cries and cries and cries, But she knows that they don't care- They are filling all their needs, Attacking her like hungry bears. She's called the cops just once or twice, They've gone up to her home- But she cried and she denied it, She feels she's on her own. She promises herself, The next time that they come- She's going to figure out a way, To stop it from being done. The next night he quietly enters, Locking the door behind him- And this time something's different, Her grandfather's not with him. Her daddy whispers in her ear, As he orders her to stand- She tries so hard not to cry, As he hits her with his hand. But she can't hide the tears for long, She finally breaks down and cries- She can't wait until it's over, When she proves they weren't all lies. Until then she lives the secret, Fearing for each night- For at this point in her life, She's just not strong enough to fight. |
