Haunting

He's there again,
Under my skin,
In my head,
Invading my heart.

He's the breath I breathe,
He's the sound I make,
He's the tongue on my lips,
He's the beat of my heart.

His breath on my neck,
His voice on the wind,
His smell filling the room,
His lips on my skin.

I reach out,
To touch his ear,
His spectre vanishes,
He retreats to my dreams.
