People yelling
All around you.
You run as fast as you can.
Your vision:
Clouded by your breath.
Your hearing:
Distracted by your pounding heart.
Your head:
Holding two thoughts:
Your mission;
And staying alive.

The adrenaline pumping
though your veins.
Your breath becoming
Heavy and fast.
Your palms sweaty,
With your weapon in hand.
Decision time
Cut down to fractions of a second.
But the best and scariest thought:
You’re with your friends.
