Blood

Light slowly sinks to darkness,
As stars light up the night.
The silent hunter stalking me,
As I stumble through the night.
In a second he is upon me,
Death in a blinding rush.
The kiss of demise is deadly,
The press of fang so slight.
The cry of the wounded!
The call of the triumphant!
A sigh of breath escapes the stillness,
As darkness settles me.
