and enters onto the stage.
It is vast and endless
her performance my last a lifetime
then again it may not..
her laughter and smile will captivate you

But look closely
can you not see the pain
hidden deep in her eyes.

A professional at her craft
acting the script we accept to perfection

But look closely
can you not see the lines deep in her face.

Each line representing incredible strength
the desire to survive
to be free

Does she want recognition
yes she does
but not of the part she is playing
the recognition should be of the amazing woman before you
a victim she is not
a survivor most certainly

Giving the performance of a life time
and the only one who will applaud
is the person looking back from the mirror each night
