Married 37 years last September 30th.
Thirty seven years, loving only you,
And yet the time has seemed to simply fly,
I am so very lucky, it is true
Without your love I'd never have got by.
I look at us, see we have come so far,
Our youth we have left behind long ago,
But you're my love, my life, my guiding star,
I'm so very glad I've had you to show
Me the way a true love is meant to be,
Bound by the vows our hearts wanted to make.
Love the tie that binds, also sets us free,
To choose to stay and all others forsake.

I hold your face and look into your eyes,
Those soft grey eyes that twinkle back at me,
Eye-brows slightly raised as if in surprise,
My love for you still shines for you to see.
I hold you, feel your heart beat next to mine,
Your familiar body makes mine beat fast,
Your closeness makes me heady, like good wine,
Sometimes I feel it is too good to last.
Our lips touch and again I'm seventeen,
Every kiss we share is ecstacy,
Every word of love we really mean,
I hope love's flame will burn eternally.
