the first of the Mjume saga, read, like, have an opinion...
Why was she leaving, I told her I love her, I can’t understand. I told mommy not to go with that mean old viser, Reeko, but she went anyway. We moved down to dwarf caves so they could teach me, and she said she had to go. I remember a long time ago she said she’d never leave me if I needed her, that I was her only daughter, and that that would never change. Well, I needed her now. Although I suppose these dwarves, smelly though they may be, are pretty nice, and the foods good too. But I would really like her to be with me to get me through this. My instructor, Shollo, isn’t the nicest dwarf, and there’s no one here I can really tell my secrets to. Like, the other day, I saw Timmot go into the general store, and he stole two apples! It’s not that Shollo isn’t nice, he just lets me deal with my own problems, which is fine I suppose, but I would like a little more guidance on unlocking these secret powers I've never seen. Mommy said that there was something special about an elf with “Fire-sight”, especially an elf princess. I'm not entirely sure what she meant, but it have had something to do with the way I talk to the fire. It’s not like it answers or anything, it just seems to know. I asked Shollo if that was what my training was for, and he just said, “Partly.” with a short nod of his head. I suppose I will just have to hope for the best.

Twenty months later…

Reeko has returned, but not with Mom. He said that my training was over, and that I should go with him. It’s not fair, we were just getting to fire creation, I had just the other day made a fireball in my hand, and it was funny, it wasn’t hot, when I asked Shollo, he said, “This fire is part of you, it cannot harm you,” he put a stick into and out of it and it was on fire, “but it is still hot to others. I’m surprised Traze, it takes normal dwarves two years and a half before they make their own fire, you must have something pretty close to true Sight.” And Timmot was in jail again for thievery, and this time we’re all stumped. They cut off his second hand last time, and none of us can figure out how he stole the vase he did. It’s not fair, how can Reeko just show up suddenly and tell me I need to go with him. But I suppose I don’t really have any other choice
