this is a lesson

A teardrop shatters with tempered force,
A new life is broken then to be forged,
The pressure of time and waiting to live,
Is acting on my problems as soil to the sieve.

A clouded view of something adjacent.
Holding closed doors that require a little more patience.
Screaming snowstorms and nothing is new,
Lying to ourselves saying that this isn’t something we’ve been through.

Twilight is light by machine gun Souls,
Blind and tripping into a pre-designed mould,
Beauty defiler, eyes flickering and smiling with tooth.
Convincing only themselves that it’s us not them who abuse.

In a view to shout tighten my tourniquet tight around my neck,
Waiting if they can love all of us with a little respect.
But the cold winter air leaves ghosts in clone.
Flowers, broken and trampled left all alone.

Acting to act to destroy your own reality.
I’m feeble, I’m invincible-I’m what you make me.
In amongst the cobwebs of my alter egos mind,
I find I’m looking at something adjacent-loosing time.
