The Picture

When you sit and reflect,
What do you see?
Is it something you respect?
Or not what you hoped it would be.

Did you paint yourself?
A pretty picture,
One where you
Were always the victor?

Were you honest
With yourself?
Admitting even the wrongness
You did to your health.

Sometimes what we want
Isn’t what’s to be.
Don't go and flaunt
What you don't really see.

Be true to you,
Face the person in the mirror,
Don’t bail out on all you do.
Your vision will become a lot clearer.

Remember that picture
And work for your goal.
You will be the victor,
If you give it your heart and soul.
