I spent my entire career teaching but kind of just fell into that. Until my son was born in July 2014, I never thought that I'd want to write. But I did - in the unknown hours of the night, between chores and nappy-changes, assignment gradings and all kinds of creativity-killing but money-making work. I used to diss poor writing, but now I realise that every story is an immense labor, of effort if not love. So I applaud and salute every writer for what you've created.
