I am a graduate of the Univerity of Memphis with a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in English (concentration creative writing). I love writing poetry although I dabble in short story when the mood strikes me. I am a Navy wife and a mother to a 12 month old. I prefer to write with emotion but a lack of sentimentality. I want the reader to feel my poetry without me hitting them over the head with it. I am a minimalist with words, which I feel is more effective than overwhelming with flowery language.
