I retired 8 years ago. Just before I retired I wanted something that I could do at home and at my own pace. Writing seemed like the best for me. I had stories published in two magazines. I wanted to expand so I wrote a novel, Golden Haze, that was published a year after I retired. In the next few years I had three more novels self-published. About a year ago I started to concentrate on writing short stories, some true and some fiction. The true stories are mostly of my youth.
