Eilir completed undergraduate majors in history, classical civilisation, and sociology, as well as a minor in Judaic studies. She studied for a history master's, mainly ancient & mediaeval European eras with an emphasis on social history, but realised she wrote better than she could ever do an oral defence. Fortunately, library science just requires a comprehensive exam, so she received an MSLS specialising in cataloguing, archives, and technology in libraries, and worked for 20 years as a medical librarian. She currently works in the medical field. She loves reading and writing and hopes to be a better writer by joining.
