I was born and raised, along with three other boys in Southern Oregon. My family were all loggers. I left the area in 1965 to join the Air Force. Shortly after that, I went to Viet Nam where I help build Phu Cat Air Base. When I returned, I left the Air Force and went to Howard Payne University where I took a BA Degree. I joined the Army in 1975 and finished out my career in the Army. That included 9 years in Germany. I am married with three daughters and four grandchildren. We live in Colorado Springs.
