Jody Serey is a lifelong writer. She has earned both her livelihood and her somewhat skewed view of the world by putting words together. She has lived in the desert Southwest for more than 42 years, and still can't speak decent Spanish. She raised three children into adulthood, and continues to wake up in a panic when the phone rings late at night. She and her husband of decades -- David -- share a love of dogs, Arizona, and most forms of music.
