I write nonfiction about political, social, and cultural issues. Over the years, I have written book reviews, profiles, feature-length articles, opinion pieces, letters to the editor, and lots and lots of emails and blog comments. I probably have written more essay-length thought pieces in the form of emails and comments on blogs than in stand-alone pieces. In addition, I am a contributing writer at two political blogs, and have my own blog -- Liberty Street -- which I started in 2003.
