I started out as an actor and writer with theatres across Canada. Although I wanted to become a writer, I believed I needed a base of knowledge in order to be effective. Rather than study writing I took psychology at university, graduating with an M.A.. . The truth was that I was still not ready to write and I went back to school for a teaching degree. I have taught High School English for a while now, only recently leaving the classroom to write full time. I've published 3 books by independent publishers. I'm struggling, but hopeful because I know that every writer has to go through this difficult process.
