I am a writer, even though I have followed many paths in my life. I went to undergraduate school in Albany, NY to become a doctor and wound up with a degree in communication. I worked for a time and did some acting until, spurred on by my friends and a wonderful mentor, I went to NY for an MFA in acting. I worked as an actor again, but I could not take the pressure, so I opted for a regular paycheck as an academic administrator. After a few years, the yearning to do something else came back, and I went to Law School. I have been an attorney now for many years, but the writer in me keeps calling. This time, the writer will win.
