Shawn is an experienced editor, proofreader, award-winning sports journalist, columnist, and outstanding trumpet player. Her poetry is included in anthologies and one won a Editor's Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry. In the wee hours, she is completing her first novel. She performed with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, the Boise Philharmonic, the Boise Summerfest series, and the Boise Faculty Brass Quintet. She earned numerous awards as both a soloist and principal player.
