We all know whats it like to poses the feeling of inadequacy.

FALLING SHORT

In falling short, I've missed the mark
Once again I've missed her heart
A hundred times I've faced this fate
A hundred times I'm left to wait

On every page I am an open book
Yet here I stand judged by my looks
In vanity’s name I've failed again
In sanitys name I'm just a friend

Foolish notions of what could be
If only she would judge the rest of me
Talents weighed, and skills aside
I've fallen short no where to hide.

She puts up walls to hide her world
Her trust betrayed,her dreams unfurled
In beauty's name she bares a gift
Like two rafts a sea were set a drift

We seek our worth on different paths
Two damaged souls with broken hearts
In a world unjust and cruel
Once again, I am the fool

In falling short I've missed the mark
Once again, my lights gone dark.
