Illusions

I’ve lived my life quietly and unseen.
Dreaming that love would make the scene.
But sadly, I’m framed in silence dreaming.
They keep on testing, making me scream.
Now I carry on about me day.
Listening to what many other people say.
Danger hides behind the many hollow eyes.
Their masked intentions sadly cost many lives.

There’s too many lies, too few saved.
Multiplying our problems.
Without love, nothing will stick around.
I’m found hiding behind dream filled illusions.

This reality is what we live with. (Yeah)
Caught within prisons we all design ourselves. (Sadly)
Too many twisted laws have us dying. (Yeah)
We need to unite, reverse our plight.

Our reality is found in the now.
Right or wrong, we survive extinction somehow.
Many hide their greed behind business and lies.
In order to control of our daily lives.

Our time is now, this is our reality.
Humanity must embrace common sense and laws.
Forgive the past and our many flaws.
Why live within false, hate filled illusions?

This reality is what we live with. (Yeah)

We need to unite, reverse our plight.

We sadly repeat our past.
Leading us to lose our way.
Forgive. Never forget that life’s a gift.
Let go of hate that leads to war.
And close the coffins lid upon death once more.

Between this “US versus THEM” dividing line.
Forgiveness is required to save our humanity.
Freeing our true potential, turning from war.
There’s no future, living in repeating mistakes.
