God Does What He Says He Will Do

Scripture:Genesis 1:3, Matthew 1:18-25

Scripture Verse: “What God says always happens.” Ezekiel 12: 28

God’s Attribute: Wise. God knows everything and always does what is right.

Main Truth: God does what he says He will do.

Story: “God Is listening, God Is listening, to each word I say, God will hear me, God will hear me, each time I pray. Our hands we fold, our heads we bow, so we can talk to God right now. Thank you, God, for bringing Cain and Abel and Seth…”name each child “here today. Thank you, God, for Your holy book, the Bible. Amen.” Hold up the Bible. “Does anybody know what book this is? This book is the Bible. The Bible is God’s word and it’s the truth. ‘The Bible is true, the Bible is true, and everything the Bible says, the Bible is true.’

“God loves people. God loves Ruth and God loves Naomi and God loves Boaz.” Hold up picture of people.

”But people don’t obey God. They don’t do what God wants.” Trace a tear down my face, look sad.

People need a helper.

”God told people, “‘I will send a special person to help.’”

“God told people “I will send Jesus.” Hold up picture of Jesus.

“Jesus came as a baby, just like God said.”

“God does as God says God will do.”

Intro: Pass out Bells. “God loves people. God gives people family, like moms and dads and brothers and sisters. and God gives friends to Cain and Abel…because God loves people.” We Thank You, Loving Father.

Intro: Pass out ribbons. “Some people don’t obey God. People need help. God said a special helper would come. People can trust God and do what God says. Let’s sing about trusting and obeying.” Trust and Obey.

Intro:Pass out shakers. “The special helper is Jesus. God sent Jesus because God loves people. Everything God does is good.” God Is So Good. God gives us Jesus, God gives us Love, Glory Hallelujah.

Quiet Time: Blanket, lights out, Jesus Loves Me. Repeat scripture verse. O is for Obey. God loves people. The Bible is God’s Holy book.
