Whether naturally caused,or not,
Storms worry me a lot,
I'm used to it,or so I thought,
They bring pain and destruction where'er they go.
Sometimes they are so fast, they're gone in a blink,
Other times ,they wander and slink...
Slowly creeping ,making you think that you have more time.
If one gets a warning ,and it is heeded,
Their response time suddenly speeds up,
They question if they have gathered all that is needed.
With the storm's arrival, winds knocking at their doors,
Trees sway and brace against the sheer force leveled against them.
A person gets anxious ,and may start to pace ,
Or find a safe place ,and begin to pray,
They are fueled with adrenaline ,and on high alert,
They are hoping for the best outcome,
Expecting the worst.
When it's all over ,the area's surveyed,
The people are exhausted, the devout had prayed,,
Now ,we need to recover ,everyone says.
