TEARS

I have tears from yesteryears that I need to shed today.
I have tears streaming down my face, and they are flowing from my heart.
Oh yes, I have tears that are flowing with no end in sight.
Tears, tears that are tearing from my heart from years of being stored there.

I have tears raging in my mind that rarely rip forth through my crying.
I have tears falling from my eyes without me trying to stop them.
Oh yes, I am letting those tears loose and free from my soul and me.
Tears that I hope will somehow help me find relief are running down my cheeks.

I have tears of anger, hurt, and disappointment cruising from my eyes.
I have tears that have washed away all of my pride.
Oh yes, my soul is wrought and filled with years of pain and suffering with no end in sight.
Tears pent up inside me because no one should ever see me cry.

I have tears of joy spread through those years of tears that keep me sane.
I have tears of hope that remind me that all is not lost.
Oh yes, there were always some tears that just came to show gratitude and appreciation.
Tears filled my life with those tangible moments that make life worth living.

I have tears bottled up that resulted from my success in life.
I have tears that were shared with others as they were going through.
Oh yes, all my tears were not shed in loneliness but in happiness with others and their successes.
Tears that cleansed the soul and made life worth living.

TEARS! Tears. Tears and more tears to come, but always followed by hope and happiness.
