Race Against Cramp

I want to enter this contest
I’ll write and write and will not rest

I’ll think of words, I’ll think of rhymes
My confidence, it surely climbs

Uh oh, a writer’s block sets in
I stop a sec' – a writer’s sin

A fumbled stroke, a mistyped line
Ahr – not again, for out loud cryin!

Last call, eleven fifty-nine
The runways clear, I’m out of time

My muse takes off, she’s on the ramp
I’ll try again at next week’s Cramp
