A poem about love, in Zéjel poetry form (described following the poem)
She has a mind that I adore.
She gets me like no one before.
She knows my game. She knows the score.

She knows I'm not a perfect guy.
We don't always see eye to eye.
But we're both human, and that's why
our love will last forevermore.

We've been together forty years,
through times of laughter, times of tears.
We know each other's doubts and fears.
But we've still plenty to explore.

We think alike, a single mind.
Our hopes and fears are intertwined.
That might sound sappy, but we find
Our lives have never been a bore.

Basic elements of the Zéjel form (a romantic Spanish form with Arabic influence:
> Syllabic, most often written in 8 syllable lines.
> Stanzaic, opening with a mono-rhymed triplet followed by any number of quatrains.
> Rhymed, the rhyme of the opening mudanza establishes a linking rhyme with the
__end line of the succeeding quatrains. Rhyme scheme, aaa bbba ddda etc.
