Making waves can be difficult but don't let them drown you
Trapped under a wave of constant gazes
To scared to breathe just in case you hear me
I hold my breath thinking it won't last forever
I long to breathe
To open my mouth and say what I wish for
Too afraid your attitude might change with the tides
Too afraid that I'll be just another plastic bag floating in your calm and tranquil sea
Were everything is the same, but you like it that way
I try to speak
My voice not even breaking the crest of a single wave
Overthinking is drowning out my words with its raging seas
But I've found somewhere else to be
You were one polluted river, while I have every ocean
