Tris And Four

Tris wakes up to a boy who looks to be in his early 20s lying next to her. She tries to get out of Ted only to discover that he is holding on to her, not only that but that she by herself will not be able to get out of the hold. Even though she knows that she will probably not be able to get out of the boy's hold she tries to wiggle her way out only to wake him up and accidentally realizes that she had woken him up only after getting out of bed. She hurriedly starts backing away but bumps into something and falls.


Four is suddenly awoken by the struggle of his wife Tris trying to get out of bed. He realizes that once again she has forgotten him. This was not the first time that she had forgotten him. Tris has amnesia but for her, there is a way to remember things. The thing is Tris was only just diagnosed with it. So you see 2 or so years ago Tris was shot in the head trying to save her best friend Christina who was being controlled by a girl named Jeanine who put the entire Dauntless community under a simulation. Mind you Jeanine was like the head doctor so she had made the serum herself the only flaw was it didn't work on the Divergent. During the simulation Christina had no clue that she was killing innocent people, some of the people who weren't under the simulation included Four, Tris, Tris’s brother Caleb, and many more. Caleb did not know that they were under a simulation until he tried to kill Christina. Just as Caleb was about to shoot her, Tris jumped in and got shot instead.


Tris then realized that the boy was staring at her. She tries to get up but as she does she hits her head off of the vaulted roof. Tris tried to catch herself only to fall onto the bed, the boy caught her by the waist only to be hit several times until he had let go. She then started to yell at him all the while not realizing that he was her husband. After a while,e she finally calms down to where he can talk. “ Tris.” Four says calmly while looking her dead in the eyes. “My name is Four.” “Pfft, like the number,” Tris says accidentally hurting Four's feelings.


Four then says with the utmost straight face, “So you don’t remember the name Four. What about Tobais?” Tris then feels instant regret as she suddenly remembers everything. “I am so sorry did I hurt you?” Tris asks, obviously worried about Four. “Your amnesia is getting worse. You didn’t even remember the name Four this time, I think we should go to the doctor to make sure it isn’t increasing rapidly.”Four says thinking that his wife would soon not even be able to remember him. When they reach the doctor's offices Tris and Four start to get nervous that Tris’s amnesia is getting worse by the minute.
When the doctor is done examining Tris he pulls Four into the hallway, afraid of how Tris will react. “How is it? I want only the truth.” Four say ready for the worst. The doctor looks at Four and says, “It is getting better, with your consent we could do surgery on her and she would never forget you again.” Four told the doctor that he wanted to discuss it with his wife to which the doctor said go ahead. When Four told Tris about the procedure Tris was
practically glowing with happiness, she immediately said yes in the doctor started the procedure. After the procedure, Tris had to stay in the hospital bed for another three days but she didn’t care because after that day she never forgot Four again.
