A vampire falls for a mortal, but her death shatters him.

Beneath the moon’s pale, weeping gaze,
He watched her, bound in mortal haze.
A vampire cursed, with heart of ice,
Yet hers, a flame, burned warm and nice.

Her laughter danced, a fleeting song,
A melody where he belonged.
He drank her smiles, not her blood,
A fragile love, a fragile bud.

But time, unkind, tore her away,
A wasting sickness claimed her sway.
He held her close, her breath grew thin,
Her pulse a ghost beneath his skin.

No fang, no bite, no stolen breath
She died of life, betrayed by death.
Her final whisper, soft, resigned,
Left him in shadows, love confined.

Now through the night, he hunts, he roams,
A beast of blood, of ash, of bones.
No mortal lives, no heart beats free
He drinks the world for her memory.

Her death his curse, her love his chain,
A vampire’s heart, devoured by pain.
Forever bound to night’s embrace,
He kills the world she once made grace.
