This is poem about a lesson I learned in life.

The Day Isn’t Measured ?

I Thank you Dear Lord, For this glorious day
That You have lain out before me,
Come whatever may,
For the day isn’t measured by darkness or light,
But by whatever you’ve knit in,
And by bringing you delight.
Whether Triumph or failure that come on my part,
I am safe and secure, as I am held in your heart.

I have learned many things, as I've fought my way through,
Most important of all I’ve learned to give them to You!
The fighting and flailing, and struggling to stand
Is a pure waste of time,
so I will hold to you’re hand.
There really is no one else, that can love me like You,
There is no one on earth with a love so pure and true,
Or the grace and acceptance which,
I have found in you.

If I let go and stumble and create a dire mess,
You reach down in mercy, as I kneel to confess,
You clean me back up, and help me tidy up the rest.
No, the days are not measured by hours, my friend,
But by these simple seconds, as God helps us to mend,
They are measured by moments,
filled with lessons we’ve learned,
at the feet of our Saviour, in the garden we tend.
