Strength begins by admitting weakness first, don't you think? |
Out there in distant lands: wars are waged, lands are destroyed, and lives are wasted from under the rubble rises a terrified soul, wondering if this is hell, or the home he cherished and as he looks around, fearing the punishment of loneliness: nothing is found but ashes and smoke everything just gone with the wind, becoming a distant memory for which the heart chokes In this reality where death is one button away, dictated by those who never understood life what choice does he have? can he go on and live? or await his inevitable doom in this strife? When life suddenly becomes colourless, knowing only white, black and a lot of Gray no choice can be made easily, yet despite it all: he first chose to stay with nothing in mind, just feelings of loss and mourning the lowest point a man can hit: when he has nothing left but unanswered yearning Yet in that sorrow, something was born, that he can hold on to tightly A promise, a vow, a hope for the future .one that makes him see the worth of his life so clearly "i am weak" he said, barely able to take a breath yet he continued on screaming:" but that is a not an excuse to just sit down and wait for my death!" soon enough he stood on both feet, eager to look back one final time but he couldn't a wound so fresh, no matter how strong the resolve, will still hurt, and why it shouldn't? then he started walking, looking around at the destruction, fishing for life for anyone, for anything, just a single creature breathing that he can hold tight Until he found a child, struggling to stand near what was once her home a devastating sight, but for him it was like a fainting light inviting him to come he held her on his shoulders, after both bid farewell to their past and then he walked away long enough, in hope that she forgets that misery fast though in that journey, his resolve tightened stronger than before for he decided to become stronger for her, for himself, so that such tragedy will be no more but where to start? and where to go? where can someone earn such strength in this hell who knows, but with such a solid will: no need to fear, just leave the rest of the story for time to tell |
