Memory Lane

daily 4/9/2025 2nd poem

You know negativity is at play when you get two in a day.

Sometimes it won't be subdued.

People say things but their actions don't match.

Can't be content seeing people used.

It's all very fluid the way that you do it it's easy "she's crazy & high!"

Did you forget that fluid is wet?

God's the baby powder keeping me dry.

You put it on sticks so when friction hits you don't get a horrible blister.

I did that once fainted just before lunch.

Went down calling out for my sister.

It is true that with age your memory fades until you're forced into isolation.

The memories flood like the current at the dam that time we went on vacation.

Michelle told you "no"!

You proceeded to go and the water had you sooner than later.

Good thing for you Uncle saw it too, "oh my THANK GOD HE SAVED HER"!

You remember that I bet how could you forget?

You almost lost your whole life.

Kind of like me falling out of that tree but the concrete wasn't as nice.
