In the hearts and minds
Of Americans
For their intrepid virtues, strident bravery,
And stellar determination.
A surreal and unfolding grit,
In the innate and awesome purview
Of furtherance and hope -
Those prodigious
And horrifying encounters
In distant lands
Coming to fruition due to the heroics
And sacrifices
Of our truly experienced
Troops and fighters,
The historic and determined trek
Of this glorious nation
Of purpose and peace-loving rationale.

The blitheness and majesty
Of The Home of Freedom and Light…
In the heightened regards
For democratic ideology and fervor.
A journey of faith
And excellence;
The appropriate dictates
For a wondrous America
Of integrity and poise.

Setting forth the promise
Of freedom for generations
Of citizens -
Triumphantly and appropriately praised
On this day of remembrance -
Our fallen troops and fighters
Forever looking down from the heavens…
A spectacular sacrifice -
The intense emergence
Of life and death purposes
And a heroic and selfless resolve.
Seekers of liberty and compassion,
In reverent deferral -
A somber page turning
Of a storybook tale
On this wickedly sad
And dolorously gruesome holiday -
For the United States of America -
The land of power and majesty
For the planet.

An awesome reminder
To recall the immense contributions
Of those unforgettable service persons -
An endless patriotism and service
Towards efforts
To emerge victorious amid
Barbaric and heinous struggles.
