"There is no difference between me, and a corpse." - "your heart radiates warmth."

I struggled as mycelium surrounded me
Slowly consuming my body as I felt myself grow weaker
Will I ever survive? Will I ever regain my peace?
The world as we know it fell apart
I accepted my fate, perhaps I was destined to die in this hell hole.
Will she make it out? Will she survive?
Ada, where are you?

-

I whistled through the old, cracked building.
Mycelium slowly wrapping around it
The suffocating mist surrounding me and my gas mask
I didn’t care what happened to me.
I have to find him,
He’s all I have in this deathtrap.

I saw him, my light.
-
My moon, she’s here.

I have you now Emil.
Nothing will keep us apart ever again.
I promise you.
I will hold you until this mycelium takes us.
I swear to you, you will never be alone.
At last, we have each other.
-
Her hold was tight, warm.
When she whispers soft songs and sweet words
I find myself worried less about my death
And more excited to spend the afterlife with her.
Please, don’t let go.
Don’t leave me here alone.

“Ada, my love.”
“Emil, my life.”
