Should Have Skipped It

Carl was waiting when his doorbell rang. He checked the peephole.
“I’m starving!” he muttered as he swung open the door. He saw his usual delivery guy, Jack.
Carl grabbed the food ; saw it was cold and began to complain.
Jack got even redder in the face than the blowing snow made him.
“I’m doing the best I can, okay? If you want to take over for me, I can go home where it’s warm.
“I won’t be tipping you, then!” a ravenous Carl snapped back at him. The next thing he knew, he was looking down the barrel of a pistol.
“That’s okay by me. All you have to do is give me your wallet, credit cards and that beautiful watch you got for Christmas!” the deliveryman said as he waved the pistol at him.
“No way, man! I’ll take the cold food,” Carl said and tried to close the door.
Jack, being a bigger, brawnier man, stuck a size 15 boot into the door and pushed the door inward. Carl resisted as long as he could, but finally got pushed down to the floor. Jack, stepped on his chest and pointed the gun at his face.
“Too late, hand over your valuables now! Maybe I’ll just shoot you anyway. The boys at Guido’s are not happy with you. I’m sure I’d get a gratuity, a big one, if I plugged you on their behalf,” Jack said with a smirk.
“Hey, Carl! Is the food here yet?” a voice said from the bathroom door. A sexy redhead with a regulation pistol in her hand, moved toward her boyfriend. Jack was so startled, he fired and missed. The redhead didn’t.
“I always knew having a police officer for a squeeze would come in handy someday, honey! "
