Arc 1 – Kyotin in the Lawn

Chapter 1 – Victory

Narrator -
Shingeki and Chrono—two rival continents of the current era. Their names had changed countless times over the years, but the rivalry never faded.

Shingeki was considered the greatest of all lands, protected by a colossal veil cast by ancient mages centuries ago. Chrono, unwilling to accept this imbalance, had sent spies again and again—sometimes returning defeated, sometimes claiming small victories, but never true dominance.

Fukuyama (Ruler of Shingeki):“How close are we?”

He stood before the vast hall window, overlooking the paradise-like palace gardens below.

“I want this victory secured. And it will only be possible through Kyotin.”

Kazui (Heir to the Throne of Shingeki):“Master, Kyotin isn’t something that can be bought or forced. It is hidden within the universe itself.”

Fukuyama:“I don’t care where it is. I want it. Chrono’s doctrine grows stronger with every passing day.”

Narrator:Kyotin—an Ekyum said to possess the power to tear even Hell itself. Legends claim it was Kyotin that divided the world into two continents millennia ago.

Kazui (bowing slightly):“I will accelerate my search, Master.”

Granted leave, Kazui departed the palace. As he walked through the elevated corridors, the serene beauty of Shingeki unfolded before him—floating gardens, cascading light, endless skies. A paradise admired by all.

Yet his eyes carried something deeper than admiration.

Scene shifts to Chrono

Pravan (Ruler of Chrono):“Impressive, Byakuya. There is no such thing as Kyotin.”

He leaned back on his throne, amused.

Pravan:“Shingeki’s ruler chases myths while neglecting to strengthen his army.”

Byakuya (Military Commander of Chrono):“But… if Kyotin truly exists?”

Pravan (smirks):“If it doesn’t, then my power alone surpasses it.”

Byakuya:“Legends say Kyotin can tear Hell itself apart.”

Pravan (laughing):“Old myths. Hell doesn’t exist. Curse is the greatest Ekyum—and reality proves it belongs to me.”

Byakuya (nods):“I respect that, Master. How many battles have you fought till now?”

Pravan:“Two.”

A pause.

“The first was with Shin, the former king of Chrono. That wasn’t even a battle—I killed him in his sleep.”

“Second—with Shingeki’s vice prince.”

Byakuya (eyes narrow):“If you are the strongest, then how did he survive?”

Pravan (after a brief silence):“I suppose… he was using Kyotin.”

Both burst into laughter.

Narrator:Unknowingly, a prediction had already turned into victory.

Some were hiding their truths.
Some were flaunting their power.

Another coin remained yet to be tossed.

In the world of Ekyum, powers born to punish sinners slowly became sins themselves.
