I never forget the 18th of May
Almost midnight. 58 degrees. That may be the high for the day. Cooler. Windy.

Me: "I was never in the cool group. But I wasn't me either. I never felt safe so I withdrew and hid behind masks."

Crankhammer: "To this day I can't [sic] see her there, staring at the ceiling with eyes full of sparks and stars."

57 degrees at 11:17. *Clouds* It will not warm up today. Wind later.

Got boxes! More concrete poured for the bridge sidewalks.

55 degrees at 1:04. I thought I felt sprinkles.

Ben helped me with the boxes. Saw/spoke to Billie Jo and Kirk.

My response to QOTD:

"Many people believe in magic. Magical religions, myths, superstitions, etc. Magical beings. Magical aliens. Magic. For everything they don't understand or fear they attribute it to magic. Some because they don't believe in a rational approach to investigation of truth. Many are just anti-science. Some are anti-gov. Some are just anti-everything-rational. Some are paranoid.

Unidentified = unidentified. It doesn't mean spooky music and green aliens. Yes, I'm curious; but, I still need to take out the garbage later. I do write sci-fy fantasy at times; but, I don't claim unknown knowledge. I write inspirational pieces, but I'm not the Source of Inspiration (i.e. I don't have a god-complex). I'm highly opinionated; doesn't mean I'm right and I tell you so.

We humans needn't be warlike. We could be more like bonobos than chimpanzees; but, until we are... why would anyone want us to escape the Zoo we live on."

A comment left for Bryan:

"I seldom respond to reviews. Mostly, I don't even look at them. Yes, I know this isn't good [or proper]. Last year I went on a reviewing binge. Found some works I really liked, some that barely got a 2.5, some less. I gave up as I was tired of reviewing sub-par writing suggested by others.

I do get the social play-time; however, I don't do raffles and I'm not here to play. That said, I do enter contests. Some people really like me. Winning over twenty entries? Been there. Won my first Quill this week. I like the piece but I have written far better pieces that were ignored.

I'm waiting to do a rant at the end of the month. I'm gathering my ammo. Imma gonna blast some folks (in general, no names).

The people I've met here in the past turned out to be very nice when I got to visit them. The present gallery of suspects is also nice; I'm sure of that. However, this site is far too milktoast, unicorns and kitties. (Disclaimer: I love cats and milktoast; never met a unicorn.)

So... I have to accept that people come here to play and avoid any reality that's upsetting."

It did get over 60 today. 59 degrees at 7 pm.

The Bridge is showing daily progress as sidewalk and pavement is nearing the finish.

Me? I'm okay... treading water.
