Arrived on a cold
And wintery day,
Joining in with our fold,
Lord she came to play.

Just one thing missing
Was her left forearm,
Yet a sweet blessing
added to her charm.

One summer day planned
For baking and such,
From vents made us fanned
Okay was her touch.

Cracking an egg first
With one hand she’d break,
Huge smile from her burst
Beaming no way fake.

A decade or so
Has passed since that day,
In our hearts you know
The hours we played.

Love my sweet Courtney
Granddaughter of mine,
I could only see
A sweet girl of nine.
